About Us

Providence Homeschool Academy is a community of Christian families committed to providing educational support for local homeschoolers.

It is our mission to partner with parents in facilitating an academic education from a Christian worldview perspective.

Maintaining our beliefs as a core piece of PHA is essential, therefore each family and teacher who joins must sign a Statement of Faith.

Over ten years ago, a mom of twelve looked at the co-ops in her area and felt like something was missing. Although many offered wonderful classes, they each seemed to fall short on supporting larger families.

And so the brainstorming began. What would a co-op need to truly be a ministry for homeschooling families?

  • A focus on Christ
  • An understanding that not every family is in a position to serve
  • A true appreciation for volunteers
  • Classes at an affordable rate for all family sizes
  • A wide variety of extracurriculars
  • An a la carte option where families picked and paid for the classes they needed
  • An option to drop-off students

This mother soon found many other families who were searching for the same things in a co-op. With support from Northwest Bible Church, these families began meeting weekly in the fall of 2012 and continue to do so today.

In the summer of 2025, the Northwest Bible Church Homeschool Co-op was blessed with a wonderful opportunity to move our group to several large vacant classrooms in our host church. To use this space properly and to continue supporting the community, the decision was made to register as a non-profit.

To partner with this change, we adopted our current name: Providence Homeschool Academy. We may have adorned a new name, but our commitment to quality Christian education for local homeschoolers remains.

We are currently registered as a 501(c)(3), and are excited about how God will continue to guide our group through His providential grace and wisdom.

Blending church leadership and parent partnership, our Board preserves the mission, resources, and accountability that allow our community to flourish.
